What is a match?
A match is a set of games that 2 players engage in. Played to best 2 out of 3.
What is a round?
It's a set of matches that make up a round. You can define a round however you want.
Often times it is defined by deck size. So round 1 is 40 cards, round 2 is 50 cards, and round 3 is 60 cards.
You can have each round be a different number of cards or not. It's your choice.
You can name the round whatever you want. It is best to use something descriptive though. If you're doing a 40 card round, name it "40 Cards." etc...
You can have as many rounds as you want.
What is a series?
A series is a collection of rounds.
Often each set is played as a series. So you would have a series for Return to Ravnica, another for Gatecrash, and another for Dragon's Maze.
Or you could have one for the entire block if that is your wish. Make sure you name the series something descriptive though.
What is the League Name for?
It is displayed on each page to let the players know which league they are logged into. Some players may play in more than 1 league.
What is Manual Card Entry?
- With Manual Card Entry ON, players can add and delete cards from their pool at any time. Generally drafts are held in person and physical cards are taken by each player. Those players then go into draftalot and add their cards. There is no card checking so cheating is possible.
- With Manual Card Entry OFF, players can't enter their own cards. They can aquire new cards through the virtual draft or through trading if the admin has enabled these.
What is the Virtual Draft?
- This is a common method for adding new cards to the pool between rounds.
- Typically the admin(s) will open any number of packs the league agrees to and list them in the virtual draft pool a few days or a week before the draft is set to take place.
- Players then have the ability to review those cards and modify their wish lists if desired.
- Then on Draft Night an admin will need to click Start the Draft to get the draft started. Make sure to specify the pick order type first.
- The admin may also want to disable everyone's autopick when adding the cards to the draft list. Sometimes players forget they have it turned on and get grumpy if the computer makes a pick they don't like. If that happens though, you can undo the draft picks one at a time to trace it back to the grumpy player and make sure they get the pick they had intended. This is of course up to the league to decide if this is fair or not.
What is Trading?
Trading allows players to trade cards between each other within the app. They can propose and counter offer trades as well as send messages back and forth about the trade. Once a trade is approved the cards will transfer ownership within the app and notify both players the trade is complete. The traded cards will show up in the Acquisition section of their my deck page. It's then up to the players to exchange the physical cards.

Can I have more than 1 admin?

Why can't I can't start a new series?
Make sure you ended the current series first.
What are the active and inactive sets?
You can activate any sets that you wish to allow any league players to use in the current series.
Active Sets are the sets that are currently active for the league. If you wish to change that, select the one you want to deactivate and click Deactivate Set button.
Inactive sets are the available sets you can chose to activate.
What are pairings?
Pairings are an innovative way to help newer players get up to speed to better compete with the well seasoned veterans.
It looks at the previous round in the current series and pairs the person in first place with the person in last place,
the person in second place with the person in second to last, and the person in third place with the person in third to
last place. It then takes an average of their rank points from last round and compares it to their average this round.
The pair with the greatest improvement wins! Typically extra prize packs are given to the winning pair. The prize packs
may or may not be used in the league. It's up to you.
But the goal is to get the higher ranked players to help the lower ranked players get better.
What can't I activate some some sets?
New sets are added as they are released. Sometimes there is a delay in getting the set added. I try to have it done before or within a few days of the prerelease.
You can't activate Unhinged or Unglued.
What is the pick quantity and how is it used?
The Quantity Cards per pick allow you to accelerate the draft. So say after the 4th round of the draft you want to start letting people pick 2 or 3 or even more cards at a time. You enter a comma separated list for the number of picks you want per draft round. If you don't put anything in it, we will assume 1 pick per round.
Two of the players have the exact same win/loss ratios, how does the app know who to rank higher?
In the event of an exact Rank Point tie, the app will take into account all matches played between the players involved in the tie and adjust the ranking accordingly.
What are custom rules?
These are custom rules that you wish to use in your league. They can be anything you want.
